Living for Lillies

So. It's been a while! I haven't been on the internet much lately 'cause I've been so busy with school and this and that and the other thing... I'll get into that!

& I have two big projects. One in English and one in Bio. The English one is an independent study of Schlinder's List. Soooooo depressing. I finished the book (thank God!) but now I have to do journal entries and... ugh. I'm partly looking forward to it, though. I can put my German history knowledge to good use! (WWII era is about all I know anyway, so~~). Bio... is going to take HOURS. And I shouldn't have left it like I did. But meh, what can be done?

& I got a job! This will certainly not be The Best Thing Ever when it's down to the wire with the above projects... but it's still nice to know the economy is alright here. I put in the application last Tuesday. Got called on Wednesday. Interviewed on Thursday. I went to first day of "training" (it's really just orientation and signing shit) yesterday. SO FAST. And, omg, I'll be earning $8.75 an hour. MINIMUM WAGE IS $8.50. WHY IS NEWFOUNDLAND SO AWESOME SOMETIMES? Back in Moncton I was earning 7-something. Can't even remember. But yeah. Exciting times! I'm working for Tim Horton's. And... one of the things I signed was kinda funny. Lemme see if I can get an online version...

Eh, can't find it. But! It was the policy on Electronic Communication. Basically, they were telling me I couldn't use ANYTHING to say bad things about Tim's. They even included personal blogs (HOW DID THEY KNOW?! ;p). I was like, "So I can't even call my mom and be like, 'Mom, this suuuuucks!'?" I'm sure it's pretty standard, and I signed it anyway, but the way some of it was worded... I really should find that! Or ask for my own copy or something.

& MY GRAD IS THIS SATURDAY! I got a really pretty dress--I'll get pictures!--and my mom and dad came down to Newfoundland for it. I'm soooo excited. Like, totes. (The only time I ever see people say "totes" is fics where they make Canada high, lol).

& I need to clean my room. :|

& I've been thinking about getting pretty stationary... but I doubt I'll be writing to Lena THAT much! XD (And who else would I write to?)

& In conclusion: I'm kinda busy. D: I need to ask Laena if I can go on a Half-Hiatus... 'cause I have stuff I need to finish with Germany, but I can't handle two characters right now. If not... I dunno what I'll do. Full hiatus? But I'll feel bad about leaving Italy-mun and Yuli mid-thread. >.>; (Which I kind've done already. I'm sooooorry! I need to get on that! ...today? Soon?)

( TL;DR )

My main purpose for memories is to keep track of where I've posted different fics (so I don't post them there again) and to keep track of the comments I received there.

I'll only post the story once under the pairing title, and that will link to this journal. Then I'll make a category for that story in particular, and have all of the places it's posted (including my journal) inside. If this is confusing for those of you who want to use my memories, I apologize. But, since it's mostly just me here... ^^;
